One of the many fishing spots in the Fitzgerald National Park is only 1.5 km down the road from Quaalup Homestead Wilderness Retreat, accessible by 2WD. There is always a bream or mullet to catch in the Gairdner River with more good fishing spots at the Gordon Inlet. With the many beaches of course there is brilliant beach fishing too, with salmon, herring or skippy just to name a few.
